This issue's mascot is Bootsie, an artist featured in the remarkable book Why Cats Paint, which is also reviewed in this issue. Bootsie is called a trans-expressionist by the authors, in their innovative classification of styles of cat art. It is clear from this image that he truly is.. um...trans...expressive.
